EdAlive - Braintastic! Word Skills Builds vital practical language skills and promotes confidence in understanding and using correct spelling, grammar and punctuation. All contain approximately 1,000 carefully sequenced, teacher-created questions. 
Key Stage 1 - Carefully guided introduction to letters, phonic groups and words.Includes letter tracking, letter matching, sorting and recognition, spelling patterns (including phonics), vocabulary development, elementary sentence building, grammar and punctuation and other preparatory skills for very young learners. Fully correlated with the National Literacy Strategy - Key Stage One. 
Key Stage 2 - Promotes confidence in using basic functional elements of language: spelling, grammar and punctuation.Builds understanding of common spelling patterns and rules, establishes command of grammar and punctuation fundamentals, focuses on prefixes, suffixes, synonyms, antonyms, homophones, homographs and homonyms. Key Stage 3 - Refines basic skills using enjoyable, stimulating material that thoroughly illustrates the richness and diversity of the English language.Includes advanced spelling, prefixes, suffixes, synonyms, antonyms and homophones, word origins, idioms, clichés, metaphors and similes, functions of nouns, pronouns, adjectives, adverbs and connectives, regular and irregular verbs and punctuation and grammar conventions. Fully correlated with the National Literacy Strategy - Key Stage Three. |
